The BVNA has appointed vet Stacey Blease as head of learning and development.
Created in 2017, the position was developed as part of the BVNA’s governance review in response to the developing role of the veterinary nurse within the professional vet-led team.
‘Exciting time’
Dr Blease said: “I have been looking for a challenge – something innovative that would build on my experience in practice, research and delivery of educational content.
”This is a very exciting time to be a veterinary nurse, with new models of working coming forward and the BVNA’s role in discussions about Schedule 3.
”I also would like to make an impact, so the opportunity to help shape learning and development for veterinary nurses is a tremendous privilege.”
‘Academic rigour’
BVNA president Wendy Nevins said: “We are really pleased with this appointment.
“Stacey will bring real academic rigour, professional awareness and a strong understanding of the learner experience to this role.”
