Hampshire-based Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists has strengthened its neurology service by attracting Daniel Sanchez Masian – former senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital – to a newly created head of neurology role.
Dr Sanchez Masian will lead the four-strong team of neurology specialists as the department continues to expand to meet demand from referring vets across the south.
‘Highly regarded’
Prior to teaching at the University of Liverpool Institute of Veterinary Science, Dr Sanchez Masian worked at a specialist neurology referral centre in Barcelona, Spain, and as a neurology clinician at the AHT.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “It is a real pleasure to join the highly regarded neurology team at Anderson Moores.
“This is a really exciting time in the development of the scope and scale of what we do here, and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the department.“
‘Experienced leadership’
Davina Anderson, internationally recognised specialist in small animal surgery at Anderson Moores, said: “We are delighted Daniel has joined our neurology team and we look forward to continued growth under his experienced leadership.
“His expertise will greatly enhance the service we provide to our referring vets with complex neurology cases and emergency referrals. We are very lucky to have him.”
